PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

My favourite programme is "Pretty Little Liars". It's an American TV series about four high school girls, Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily, but a day their friend Alison disappears and the police find the girl's body. Meanwhile the 4 girls receive messages from a person called A. So the investigations start to discover who is A.
This TV series is so long and difficult to understand because there are six seasons, but I like it because it's so amazing and realistic. I would recommend it if people are attentive to follow the episodes and if they like thriller movies.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

The month of the Blacks history is an event observed in the United States of America and in Canada, on February, and in the UK, on October to celebrate the importance of people in the history of the African diaspora.
Carter Woodson was an African-American historian, journalist and the founder of the Association for the Study of African-American Life and History. Woodson was one of the first scholars to study African-American History. He noted that African-American history was ignored. So in 1926 he established the celebration of Negro History Week, during the second week in February, now known as Black History Month.

CANADA

A long time ago Canada was under the dominion of English and French colonists, but in 1897 Canada became a federal union between provinces of Upper and Lower Canada. Now it is a confederation of 10 indipendent provinces and 3 lands that belong to England as a member of the British Commonwealth. Each province has its government and it enjoys more autonomy, but the head of the state is the queen of the United Kingdom that she exercises her power through a general governor. Canada is populated by more than 30000000 inhabitants. Its scarce population depends that the major part of the territory isn't adapted to the establishment and to human activities because it is frozen for the most of the year or the climatic conditions allow the growth of woods; in fact the 40% of the territory is covered by forests. The population is concentrated in the big cities, located along the rivers to favour the trade. The Canadien population is above all of British and French origin and fot this the most spoken languages are English and French. Among the national Canadien symbols the most important is the maple leaf that appears in the flag, in the emblem, in some coins and as logo of many societies. Canada is also an ecologist country, whose symbols are Greenpeace, organisation to protect the environment; Grey Owl, the first ecologist who has married a red Indian cause. Canada has two national sports: one is hockey on ice, which is the most popular sport in the country and it has won 24 World and 8 Olympic Games; the other is lacrosse, which is practiced on the grass and the object is to send a ball into the door, using bats. These sports are practiced the first in the winter and the second in the summer. Canada also hosts the Formula 1 Big Prize, which it takes place in Montreal.

THE HOLOCAUST

The Holocaust was the genocide committed by the Nazi regime to the people who were not of German race and especially to Jews, which caused the death of about 15 million people of every sex and age.

One of the most Anne Frank's famous quotation says:
"I see eight of us in the secret Accommodation as if we were a little piece of blue sky, surrounded by dark clouds of rain."

The picture represents the entrance to the concentration camps. "Arbeit macht frei" was the famous sentence of the Nazi concentration camps. The letter b, written on the contrary, told to people who were going to meet death.
